Viviana Herrera
Viviana Herrera is Latin Ballroom dancer who was born in Queens, New York. With a Colombian background she has been influenced by Salsa music and dancing since she can remember. Music has always been a strong influence and a source of inspiration from a very young age.
As a child she took piano lessons and began dancing Jazz, Ballet, and Colombian Folklore.
Upon entering high school Viviana joined the dance team where she first began teaching and performing as a Salsa dancer.
That is when she discovered her passion for performing and teaching. Upon graduation in 2008, Viviana decided to pursue her dream to teach and compete professionally as a Ballroom Dancer with Arthur Murray and Fred Astaire Dance Studios. She competed in Professional American Rhythm and American Smooth Categories. In 2014, she became three time Professional Regional Champion and placed as a Finalist at the National Dance Championship.
Viviana started teaching at Salsa in 2010 and quickly became one of South Florida's top Female Instructors. She became known and sought after for her Ladies Styling & Body Movement Classes. In 2015, she took over her very own dance studio is excited to continue to grow the community.
Viviana has taught dance to children, adults, and special needs teenagers and strongly believes anyone with the desire can learn to dance.
Her experience in Ballroom has made her into a versatile instructor teaching a wide variety of dances such as Casino Rueda, Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing, Tango, Country, Hustle, Salsa, Mambo, Samba, Merengue, Bachata, Bolero, Rumba, and Cha Cha Cha.
Viviana finds great pleasure in instructing others and helping them achieve their dancing goals everyday here at Mambo Factory.
